DESCRIPTION:Town Clerk to Host Voter Registration Day Before Upcoming Feb. 12th Special Town Meeting \nFebruary 2\, 2018 Clerk’s Office Open til 8pm \nSpecial Town Meeting \nThe Mattapoisett Board of Selectmen has voted to hold a Special Town Meeting on Monday\, February 12\, 2018 at Old Rochester Regional High School Auditorium at 6:30 pm. There will be a special voter registration session held on Friday\, February 2\, 2018. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open until 8pm to provide an opportunity for eligible Mattapoisett residents who are not already registered to vote to do so. This is the registration deadline in order to participate in the upcoming Special Town Meeting.

DESCRIPTION:Mattapoisett Democratic Caucus to elect delegates to the State Convention \nFacts about the Convention \nThe Caucus elects Delegates and Alternates to the annual Democratic State Convention\, June 1st and 2nd\, 2018\n2018’s Convention is an “Endorsing Convention\,” sometimes called a “Nominating Convention.”\nEndorsements for statewide office of enrolled Democrats nominated at the Convention shall be by majority vote of the delegates present and voting\, with the provision that any nominee who receives at least 15 percent of the Convention vote on any ballot for a particular office may challenge the Convention endorsement in a State primary election.\nStatewide candidates who receive 15% of Delegate votes are eligible to be on the Democratic Primary ballot in September 2018.
